1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PE Classroom ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you are using PE Classroom on behalf of a school, school district, or educational institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PE Classroom is a web-based platform designed for physical education teachers and school staff. It provides tools for managing class rosters, tracking student attendance and participation, recording PE standard assessments, running tournament brackets, building lesson plans, and hosting fitness challenges. The Service is intended exclusively for use by authorized educators and school personnel.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old and an authorized school employee or contractor to create an account.
• You may sign in using Google OAuth. By doing so, you authorize PE Classroom to access the basic profile information (name and email address) associated with your Google account, solely for the purpose of creating and managing your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to notify us immediately at support@peclass.fun if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Google OAuth and Third-Party Sign-In

PE Classroom uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. When you sign in with Google, we receive only your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google account data. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PE Classroom only for lawful educational purposes. You agree not to:

• Enter false, inaccurate, or misleading student information.
• Use the Service to store or transmit any data unrelated to physical education or school administration.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, harm, or discriminate against any individual.
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized persons.
• Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law, including FERPA, COPPA, or student data privacy laws.

6. Student Data and FERPA

You acknowledge that student data entered into PE Classroom constitutes "education records" under FERPA. You agree that:

• You will only enter student information you are authorized by your school or district to process.
• You will comply with all applicable laws governing the collection and use of student data, including FERPA and applicable state laws.
• You will not use PE Classroom to store sensitive student information beyond what is required for physical education management (e.g., no medical diagnoses, financial information, or Social Security numbers).

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and materials within PE Classroom are the property of PE Classroom and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service solely for your educational purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of all student data and class content you enter into the platform. By submitting data, you grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to provide the Service.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable access to PE Classroom but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any disruption, loss of data, or inconvenience resulting from downtime or service changes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or that it will be free from errors or security vulnerabilities.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PE Classroom and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including data deletion obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
